Eye Examination

An eye examination is much more than a test of your vision. It can also identify any issues you may have with your eye health and even your general health, before you may have become aware of them.

At The Optical Suite we offer  advanced eye examinations.

Advanced Eye Examination

An advanced eye examination is a comprehensive assessment of eye health that goes beyond a standard eye test. It utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide a more detailed and in-depth analysis of the eyes .

Key components of an advanced eye examination include:

  1. OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan: This non-invasive imaging technique uses light waves to create detailed 3D images of the retina and optic nerve. It allows optometrists to see beneath the surface of the eye, detecting early signs of various eye conditions.
  2. Optomap Ultra-widefield imaging,  a hospital-grade scanning technology that provides a detailed, panoramic view of your retina in just seconds.
  3. Comprehensive eye health assessment: This includes checks for various eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
  4. Visual acuity and refraction tests: These determine the need for corrective lenses and assess overall vision quality.

How often should I have an eye examination?

The majority of people should have their eyes examined at least every two years. Others depending on their circumstances may require an eye examination sooner.
